With a musical upbringing, Mason Smith or “Smitty” has always had an interest in music, playing trombone throughout school, and forming a punk band named Cardiac Arrest with his close friends, where he played guitar and sang. Since 2023, he has been the lead vocalist for Kalopsia’s Core, a Metalcore band in South Florida.

Aside from music, Smith has a great interest in nature and a love for the wildlife of his home state of Florida. Inspired by his love of nature, history, poetry, and a childhood filled with tabletop role-playing games and the works of J. R. R. Tolkien, Mason has created a High Fantasy universe where, since childhood, he has fleshed out the inner workings of fictitious kingdoms and continents through telling stories from the perspective of the world’s strange inhabitants.

In the future, he looks to continue his fiction and songwriting in a more public way to encourage more creatives to do the same. With GRAVOFT he hopes to continue his own creative endeavors and build enough contacts in various industries to help other artists’ visions become true. “Everyone has something that they use as a creative outlet. For me, it’s music, so that’s what I understand, but I love viewing an artist truly in their element, equipped with everything they need to put their soul on a canvas for all to see. Even if what you are doing is something I don’t understand at all, it brings me comfort to know that as artists and performers, we all get that ‘Hell yeah’ moment. ‘We did it!’”
